My first Saint-Bris! Pale lemon yellow color. Plush aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers, chalk and abundant fresh herbs. Flavors of unripe peach, all those savory herbs, green apple and lemon zest. Noticeable mineral backbone on the long and drawn out finish. Lively and crisp acidity. Medium-minus body and wonderful freshness. Vibrant and harmonious! There are Chablis comparisons here. Another example of outstanding white burgundy! — 8 months ago

Loving the nose right out of the gate, even if it’s a bit too chilled. The purest chalky, oyster-shelly limestone, so bright, with crisp citrus-tinged green-appley fruit. Minerally and a bit leaner on the plate than I expected from a ‘20. Very focused. Finish is like sucking on stones. Teensy bitter note in the finish (not a negative). Right now a 9.2. Let’s see what it does with air and losing a little chill — 3 months ago

Very elegant wine that has found a lovely balance.
Long aftertaste and surely potential to keep going. — 2 months ago
Honey nectar where time has carved out concrete smoothed smokey cool aromas of grilled pineapple and canned apricot.
Sweet and weighs like a brick, thick with nuance to sift through. Yellow peach, burnt popcorn, green coriander, lychee last to say goodnight — 2 years ago
Pale lemon color.
Aromas of lemon, hint of toast.
Dry. Flavors of lemon, mineral, toast is faint. Very citrussy.

Field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Beurot, Muscat and Pinot Noir from the Engelgarten, a vineyard with poor, gravelly soils located just outside the walls of Bergheim (about 10 miles north of Colmar, in the Haut Rhin). Pure, expressive nose with notes of citrus, rubber and minerals. Intense, dry, textured. Slightly ripe. Long, saline finish. — 4 years ago
