Central Coast Viognier 2021

Quality Viognier. Powerful aromatics and decent complexity. Length and depth. I will definitely look for this again — 3 months ago

Think the 2022 might possibly be better.

Ty I will look for it. I find this grape is a great restaurant choice when the chards are boring and overpriced.

Alban Saint-Joseph Syrah 2020

Lyle Fass
9.5

Alban is name of first child. what a nose, gamey, stoney, granite, loess, amazing nose. so so sick. red fruits. raspberry coulis. olives, leather, some funk, some barnyard, some horse. wow this nose. wow, so silky, so elegant, big and refined, but juicy and so so elegant. Amazing purity. So open and wide. Coulis. red fruit, so fine, so much velvety tannins, sleek and refined. polished classicism. precise dense deep and lots of material. Drinking so well now. — 10 months ago

Reva Alban Estate Vineyard Syrah 2013

Dark purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose with lots of black fruits, cedar and chocolate notes.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blackberries, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, dried fruits, light earth, barnyard, light vegetables, herbs, chocolates, espresso, cola and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Syrah from Edna Valley in California. Showing nice complexity and elegance, with a soft mouthfeel.

This Syrah from the great 2013 vintage is drinking beautifully now. A great sipping wine to have all by itself.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$130.

The Mason Edna Valley Mourvedre 2011

Catching up on some wines. Enjoyed this with my friend @Shay A in FW last month at the 4th Friday event. I did not know what I had here. Really enjoyed this… — 6 months ago

Phenomenal bottle from @Bryan Kesting and only the second Forsythe I’ve had. Totally Mourvèdre to the core. Sports that deep and savory meatiness to the core wrapped in baked dark fruits. Large scaled without being too big. With time in the decanter, this continued to evolve and show layers. Delicious! Thanks Bryan!

Mr. K The Noble Man Alban Vineyard Chardonnay 2002

2002. Wow. Beautiful and elegant. Only 10% abv according to the label but I’d guess higher. Petrol, honey, Corn Pops cereal, dill, mandarin oranges, golden raisin. This is amazing. — 6 months ago

Pandora Edna Valley Grenache Syrah 2018

Warehouse wine,
Bought to stay on the allocation list, definitely opened early but I needed to compare to older vintages I’ve had. There’s a reason these last 20 years. 2002 are drinking great. 4th day on this one.
Enjoy in 2038

Lorraine Syrah 2013

The color is a beautiful purple magenta. On the nose - blackberry-raspberry fruit, sandalwood, eucalyptus with notes of chocolate, licorice and vanilla. Wow what can you say! A rich, juicy and medium bodied smooth wine. Black fruits with blueberry dominate and just snaps from the glass blended with chocolate and licorice notes followed by a hints of bacon and espresso and a mineral black pepper long finish. You can drink this wine all night long!! — 2 years ago
