50 ml bottle on a United flight. Nose is really not there- probably because of the (relative) high altitude and small glass- but hey we are at 33k feet. In the mouth simple and somewhat stewed. Ok but not the best showing for either UA or TF&Y. — a year ago
From Joel’s cellar offering a year or so ago. Outstanding freshness and vigor in this one. Light in color as most of the pigment had pasted itself on the sides of the bottle. Deep nose of plum/Healdsburg prune and cedar. Comes across as both primary and tertiary at the same time. Firm acidity with gripping tannins. — 2 years ago
AP number 15 from 2001. Good showing for this wine though still seems a bit youthful. I remember early going a bit of spritz with a round sweetness. Spritz is gone; understated nose of apple/pear; still quite sweet with fresh and taut acidity. Ideal wine to pair with some pan glazed pork chops! — 10 months ago
Absolutely wonderful if aged CNdP is your thing. Fully into tertiary flavors. Cedar and tea with cherries and plum filling out the finish. Still some tannins so needs richness alongside. Drink with Epoisses. — a year ago
One of the best Chianti Classico wines I’ve had in a while…. Chocolate/Coffee/Feral nose. Dense and chewy. Finishes tannic with dark cherry. This was L 240 21 — 2 years ago
Absolutely gorgeous and fully mature Zinfandel. Nose of red fruits and lovely balsamic. So smooth with still slightly tannic finish. Actually no hurry to drink this one. Came from one of Joel’s archive offerings. — 10 months ago
Sweet on the first sip; very little smoke but a bit there; creamy but not lactic; in the mouth more biased towards the veggie/synthetic flavors which you only get excellent Mezcal. Love — a year ago
2019 vintage. Tight with olives and dark fruit. An Iron/stoniness on the nose. Would imagine a long life ahead. — 2 years ago
Showing pear, crisp green apple and reductive match stick. Very good but needs about ten more years of cellar age. 2012 not 2011 as app mis-recognized it. — 2 years ago

Dark fruit with a wonderful depth of herbal complexity. Coffee, mint and meat. Serious stuff! — 10 months ago
