Old world wine that I’ll ponder later tonight in the dream world. Like a college 101 course in Barolo’s of another age. Leathery, tannic, balanced, dark cherry and plum, copper. A young gal out at her first dance, yet waltzing with the seductive wisdom of generations. Deeply grateful to know people who treat me to such divinity. — 4 days ago
Staying on the Nebbiolo trail
Vibrant, energetic, fresh & juicy. Full of sweet cherry & raspberry, with a flower whiff and a stony-tarry undertone. So enticing!
Medium bodied, with juicy cherry acidity and amazing tannins - silky, finely grained, offering ajuicy, yet firm bite. Perfectly ripe.
Nice depth & purity and great cherry & cherry flower note.
This an ode to youth! Keep your Barbaresco Rosetta’s till they aged with truffle & balsamico while you devour the young, crunchy, joyful „simple” Nebbiolos.
Yum! — 9 days ago
Garnet , ruby core , with terracotta rim . Quite ripe juicy nose , blueberry , blackberry , with an earthy , cedar tinged note and touch of mint . On the palate more reserved , with dark cassis , blackberry , scorched earth , tobacco , cedar . Good refreshing acidity , slightly drying tannin. Quite good length, after a while a mineral , crushed rock note . This is at peak now in magnum, for now and the next 5-8 years . Bottles drink now and over the next few years I would imagine — 14 days ago
I really liked this wine. It wasn’t as great as some other Montepulciano but I still liked it. I drank it with a French dip sandwich that I made along with Johnny’s Au Jus and I thought it paired well. I will buy it again! — 15 days ago
Vino Joe
This is squarely in my wheelhouse. Love this wine. Love this producer. Needed 45 minutes to open. The cork was only lightly stained and no sediment in bottle. This is still a young wine but bursting. Lots of fruit. Well balanced. Grippy and long. It has a maturity and a complexity despite its age. Another winner. — 2 days ago
