I adore this wine as there is nothing like it in Germany or the wine world at large. One foot in the Cote de Beaune, one foot in Saulheim and one foot somewhere else. Nose is so giving and intense. Some toasty wood, but minerals blaring underneath, and just gorgeous limestone minerality but what stands out is the absolute purity aromatically and on the palate. Seductive and rich but oh my god the purity is out of this world. So fine, so elegant, and so nimble. The combo of richness/decadence and nimbleness allied also the most filigree one can imagine makes this a knockout. This is just profound. Finish is endless and this is at once delicate and rich. This wine is a contradiction that works. This is so elegant, so delicate and the controlled richness is out of this world. — 9 months ago
Lemon and white flowers on the nose, a rich body with mild acid and honey sweetness. "This is a really good one.' Bob, connoisseur of Liebfraumilch. — 3 years ago

Very exiting nose. Confectionery sugars, greens that are sweet, fiddlehead ferns, sugar snap peas, mineral and airy. Even a hint of saline. Palate is elegant, linear and focused. Juicy and clean. A bit simple. Nice but the J bottling of this is really a big step up. Nice length. Good. — 5 years ago
Slightly carbonated, funky, dry, crisp, wonderful, not too tart... perfect with seafood. This is a favorite. — 5 months ago

Honestly dunno much about silvaners, but me likey! Dry, just the right amount of crispy pomelo and Asian pear all riding a granite slab slicked with a little tiny bit of petrol. 10/10 would chug this — 6 years ago
Bright white/gold color with a slight bit of effervescence. Interesting aromas of green vegetables and herbs, wet stones white flowers and a trace of red bramble berry fruit. Flavors of lemon/lime, fresh herbs and minerals. Long finish with ripping acidity. Extremely savory, fresh tasting and somewhat subdued. Interesting. — 6 months ago
Had to crack a ‘21 and put one in the cellar for a few years. Very impressed. But of course KP nails this variety. A but rounder than Riesling with different aromatics but still that good teeth shattering acidity and minerality. Paired with khao soi. — 3 years ago
Delicious. Better than the Keller Feuervogel IMO and costs a third as much. — 4 years ago
Pear, apple, white flowers, petrichor...fruit forward with well balanced acidity...notes of citrus and minerality come through towards the finish. — 5 years ago
Almost 2 years since I’ve had this. What a wine. Gorgeous nose of herbal vegetables that are so so fresh. Dynamic mineralIty on the nose with also a hint of fat. Palate is elegant and mineral with wonderful juiciness and a haunting opulent yet undeniably fresh texture. Age has really helped this be fully expressive. Great balance and purity. — 7 years ago

Intended to get a Chablis for oysters as I love that pairing and couldn’t resist the label. Pleasantly surprised and was $20 cheaper than the others I normally buy. Not quite as complex as some other serious whites but completely ok with that. Paired extremely well and drinks just as nicely on its own on a patio. — 13 days ago
