Zinfandel clearly has some utility… with a very suggestive appearance.
Drink this cold. Very rugged expression of a summertime wine. Displays it full coat of arms when combined with hard cheeses. Lots of cherry blossom notes with hints of red licorice. Drink over the next 24 months. — 9 days ago
Dessert wine. Always, no never, no always a good idea. Sometimes. Good one. — 8 days ago
So good, this is time-travel Zinfandel, just like the better producers made it in the 70s. (I don’t know how the trend got to the point where 15%+ jam monsters are the norm, but it did.) This has a nice youthful saturated color. Nose is very pure, spicy blackberry, with nose-tingly acids showing, spice, and loads of crushed stone minerality. At once lively and rich in the mouth, it’s got great, focused brambly Zin fruit and crisp—yes, crisp—acids. Bone dry. A bit of tannic structure and a nice rocky, gravelly note. So damn good. Go Bruins! — 20 days ago
A surprising white zin that will indeed change your mind about white zin. Creamy strawberry, but not too much fruit. Edgy acidity in all the best ways. Wish i had ordered more! — 16 days ago
Nice zinfandel with a great story. Low tannin med-high acid. Probably better to drink in a few years. — 22 days ago

My first time trying this producer’s Zin. I opened this yesterday knowing that it likely needed more time but was too impatient to wait. Decanted for 2 hours and it still gave off heat from alcohol, but started to develop with time in the glass. Day 2 and this wine has improved significantly. This wine is jammy, but not overly. I think this wine will really shine with a couple more years in the bottle. Will wait to open the next one. — 8 days ago
