Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Showing black fruits with earth, oak, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, vegetables, light vanilla, herbs and peppercorn.
Starting to drink nicely now. Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Good right out of the bottle, but very tight. Needs 3 hours to open up, but it finished too quickly.
Aged in (25% new) American oak barrels for 14 months.
14.4% alcohol by volume.

Decant for sediment and pour (lots of chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable murky garnet with bricking. On the nose: Intoxicating notes of stewed dark fruit, green bell pepper, sweet vanilla, menthol, worn leather, dried herbs. Taste: soft, smooth, delicate, balanced wine with prune, cedar, graphite, and a sweet spice tobacco medium plus finish. YUM!!! Still holding its own and fun to drink and discuss tonight. Cheers. — 20 days ago

Red with an interesting blend of body, tart, and sweetness. One of the better reds coming from someone who prefers sweeter tastes to the palate. — 23 days ago
