Fruity, deep berry, dry but heavy full fruit taste with a bit of tannins. Needs time to aerate but smooth drinking wine with lots of complex flavor.

Deep ruby in color. A nose of rich cassis and tobacco, and a mouth that matches with jammy dark fruits (cassis, boysenberry) and toasty oak. Medium tannins and acidity. A heavy mouthfeel gives the wine an almost sticky quality, with the fruit flavors lasting through a generous finish.

First time I’ve ever rated a perfect 10. This wine gifted to hubs is a remarkable smooth wine. Full of cherry, plum and a hint of smoke. The wine is smooth from the get go and opens up into a silkiness that is spectacular. Beautiful. With veggie pizza night on Christmas 2021. Anna and kobi home! .

Not how I remember Special Select...now made in the over ripe dare I say it 689 style. Rounded, jammy with a lingering finish. Drink now, not built for aging.
