This Grand Vin Beychevelle is in a beautiful window, like most 2005’s that I would characterize as brilliantly elegant as opposed to brut strength. Medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins, texture and purity. — 2 days ago

Took quite a time to open up, decanted around 2 hours

A fine St Julien which is built to last and have tucked away the balance to a few more years — 12 days ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, cedar and flowers. Very dense and elegant in the mouth, its balanced with very fine tannins, good length and complexity. This is top notch and good value at this high quality level. — a month ago

Plummy, blackberry, dried currants, mulberry, lavender, cedar, tobacco and smoke.
Smoky graphite and mineral opening with fully integrated tannins and overall cohesion. Lovely floral and berry mix with mulberry, cassis and currant, lavender, rose, and violet. Strong showing on a 38 year old wine.
