La Combe Aux Moines Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2005

Dark fruit and iron/blood on the (lightish) palate but quite a reserved nose. Hopefully these just need a while longer to open up — 3 months ago

Clos du Moulin aux Moines

Aux Seurrets Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2014

Seems rather closed in both aroma and palate. Improved and opened up after an hour or two. Dinner at #25 and went well with pork dish. Notes of dark red fruits and firm texture. Perhaps in sleepy stage. Thought to contrast with Hope Well. On day three in Eto the nose opened up! Texture still good. Raise by one to 8.9. — 4 days ago

Combes aux Moines Vieille Vigne Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

Don't start throwing tomatoes at me i know it is a crime to open this bottle this was actually a mistake i thought it was a Gevrey-Chambertin village until i had my first sip and i was confused so i looked at the bottle and was floored. Anyway it is what it is...long story short this rocks — 5 days ago

Monopole Clos de la Perrière Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

Chalky cranberries & raspberries with a green, herbal (good!) whiff. Polished and mellow yet with nice, finely polished tannins & great precision. Good quality of fruit, too. What a lovely ‘simple’ Bourgogne Rouge! — a month ago

Denis (Isabelle et Denis) Pommier

Croix aux Moines Chablis Chardonnay 2016

This wine always performs at a 1er Cru level. Intensely brothy and wet limestoney nose. Damp straw and lemon oil as well. Palate is intense, with lemony apply fruit and tons of funk-tinged minerality. Mouthwatering acids. So good. — 4 months ago
