Far, far better (now) than the 2017, or 2020. Comparable to the Ravera. Big rose hit as soon as it opens. A bargain at $100 from Winestar. Only one, sadly. At home with Curly. — 21 days ago
Incredibly fresh and moreish. At Hope Cove House where they know their natural wine and their cooking 👏🏼 — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2019 “Roccalini” pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of ripe Morello cherry, raspberry, roses, new leather, dried orange peel, dried green herbs, a touch of anisette and dried gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. IIRC, before Paolo started making wine under his own label, the fruit from Roccalini used to go to Giacosa. Regardless, the quality and character is special which is why it is consistently one of my favorites in all of Barbaresco. Now, if only I had more access to it. Maybe @Lyle Fass can do something about it? Drink now through 2039+. — 4 months ago
Probably a little young but very good. Plenty of fruit — 2 months ago

This wine pours a somewhat clear ruby red. It has a nice nose. The fruit is restrained. And after it’s been open for a little bit, the tannins really come through. This is an excellent wine that I got at Costco for $48. I would definitely re-buy it. It went well, although not a perfect match with the seafood linguine I had for my birthday at Mange Bene restaurant. #barolowine #italianwines #piedmontwines #nebbioli #costcowines — 10 days ago
