What a wine! Great display of what ontarian wine has to offer. Dark almost purple robe. On the nose, slight note of cranberry and lemon peel. Earthy and balanced. Nice finish on the palate. #canadianwine #screwcap — 11 years ago
A #Malbec from #SouthAustralia by Duane Coates, owner & #winemaker of #coateswines. Twisted the #screwcap on this 2012 #RobeVineyard #malbec for dins. Cheers Duane & thanks for the very good #booze! It has a generous nose, with dark red & black #cherry notes tethered to a #palate that is sumptuous & savoury, the latter something found in every #wine he makes. Love the #savouriness, #acidity & gripping #tannin structure of his #redwine offerings. — 11 years ago

Big, rich, spicy. Everything you'd expect from Barossa. Well made and still showing a lot of primary elements. #screwcap #australianwine — 10 years ago

Great display on Ontario wine! Gamay tend to be a bit richer, a deeper ruby red. Aged in oak, medium dry, tart cherry with a nice finish on the palate. #canadianwine #screwcap #gamay — 11 years ago

We're definitely down with former Per Se head sommelier @André Hueston Mack's feisty Oregon Pinot. Its ripe bing cherry and woodsy muscle and spice would be right at home at a BBQ bash. Picnicing bonus: it's screwcap for ultra-easy access.

Nice to be in Chile where the wines are cheap (vs Ecuador where the alcohol tax makes prices obscene). I chose this wine solely because it had the coolest looking label at the grocery store I went to, and paid $5 for it. Very woody nose upon opening the #screwcap (which I love compared to synthetic corks), but 30 mins of oxygen revealed a balanced and pleasant, if simple wine. Good fruit and tannin yet nothing overpowers, and has some length. Overall very impressed at this price point. — 10 years ago

This mysterious #malbec from anywhere #Argentina arrived today w/35 other #bottles of #wine. All had labels indicating something about the #winery except this one. Twisted the #screwcap, poured some into my #zalto & tasted. The name is right. Very much a nose of rich, ripe, freshly sliced #passionfruit with loads of raw vibrancy. Not at all a massive #malbec w/overbearing fruit. At just a few months of age, this pup has no baby fat, which was great. Also believe it is a low to no #so2 #wine due to its energy & a wild, stony character w/surging palate momentum of zinging fruit, & balance. This good stuff. Need to know more about where and who made it. For now will "say" it's a thoroughly yummy, #organic #wine to drink sooner rather than later. — 11 years ago

Unfortunately it was oxidized. I thought #newworld #newzealand and #screwcap even if it’s 2011 it should be perfect...not the case. It was gone. Optimum Storage — 8 years ago
