Lorenzino Dolcetto d'Alba 2016

So underrated. Dark, brooding, intense. Roasted plums, grated spices. Still, it’s fleshy, corpulent and packed after a day or two of aeration. #dolcetto #alba #piemonte — 9 months ago

Med concentration with a pale ruby core and violet rim. Med + intensity with a decent amount of alcohol upfront. Med complexity showing ripe red and blue fruit. Cherry, boysenberry, crushed stones, stems, and purple flowers. Firm structure with med + tannins and acid. Full body. Less complex on the palate showing less fruit which is overwhelmed by the structure. Okay length. Definitely a food wine. I'll revisit in a year. #brunogiacosa #dolcetto #alba #piedmont #italy #ctbucklinwine — 2 years ago

Barbera d'Alba Nebbiolo 2013

This may be a young vintage but with some aeration it came with it. #Montanello #Alba #Langhe #CantinaSociale #Gangster — 4 years ago

Dolcetto d'Alba 2016

Clear ruby; plum, cherry, boysenberry, forest on a warmer day; cedar notes. Palate- red fruit, tart, initial bang! Fresh then subsides, to hints of woody mint. Medium A, T, B and L. The acidity, tannin and fruit profile are well integrated. Better with food, also enjoyed with 75% chocolate #thelatestbatch #dolcetto #alba — a year ago

Quattro Fratelli Barbera d'Alba 2011

Tangy, sour, and a little too young. Pepper & cherry notes. Not terrible, but I've had much better Barbera D'Alba. #wine #wineporn #winestagram #wino #italian #nebbiolo #barbera #tuscany #alba — 5 years ago

Demarie

Nebbiolo d'Alba Nebbiolo

Raspberry, dried blackberry and cedar form a distinct potpourri when considered with the dried rose petal and orange bitters. There is a fleeting fruitiness that approaches strawberries dropped into a coniferous fire. Lovely, if firm tannins support a whale of a wine. Amazing depth with Roobios tea leafs, tobacco, graphite, bay leaf, bing cherry, dried black cherry and black currants on carbon paper and campfire ash, driven deep into a charred wormwood and dusty schist. This is an incredible Nebbiolo that over-delivers in every sense! #piedmontesewines #nebbiolo #nebbiololover #nebbiololife #nebbiolodalba #alba #Demarie #piedmont #babybarolo #italianred #Italianwine — 2 years ago
