They will be fantastic. The true test will be your tolerance for aged chardonnay. Leeuwin is a great producer, and the Art Series wines are fantastic. I have only enjoyed at a 10 year max, because I was worried they would go bad, but they would have been good longer at my tolerance . Enjoy!!!!!!!!

@Kapyrick Wine I have been drinking this Cuvée for many years now and we often have tastings to judge the best Australian Chardonnay. Giaconda and Bindi Quartz block are also in the mix. A few months ago I had my last 2013 Art Series and it was stellar.

Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

From magnum. Partially poured into a decanter and enjoyed over the course of a couple days. Best on Day 2. The 2015 Pritchard Hill pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and richly fruited with powerful, heady notes of cassis, blackberries, plum, purple flowers, tobacco, cocoa, some star anise and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is luxurious. Classic Pritchard Hill character and surely a candidate for top vineyard status if the US were to ever adopt a classification status. There’s a long future here, especially in this larger format. Drink now with patience through 2055. — 2 months ago

Nice but I'll always opt for the "Signature" offering for the price. Have tasted a decade's worth+ of the Pritchard Hill vehicle. A bit too plushy for me but the Signature is Baby Bear old school just right.

Initially a bit closed, after two hours in the decanter this really opens up. Black cherry and sage come through on the nose and continue onto the palate with additional notes of cassis, bay leaf, and cloves. Has a persistent finish with herbs, spice, and black tea lingering on the palate. The herbal and spice flavors were really vibrant when paired with basil pesto pasta and mushrooms. Medium+ acidity, medium+ body, and medium tannins. This is the 2021 vintage. — 6 months ago

@Joel Lara Nice write-up. This is consistently their most difficult Pinot offering to "figure out." Oodles of subtleties vs a few markers/demonstrative tendencies. NOT for the average Pinot Noir drinker.

@Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego that’s interesting because as I was drinking it I was thinking about how different it was to a lot of pinots I’ve had. The savory elements are not as loud as they are in other good pinots, but I still found them an intriguing backdrop to the beautiful fruit. The tannin really helped add some complexity on the finish too. I also bought a 2019 Temperance Hill, so looking forward to seeing how that compares.

Moss Wood Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 1999

Definitely one of the best Cabernet Sauvignons I have had this year - also one of the oldest. What a beautiful perfumed nose - red florals, red fruits, mulberry and Spice. A well balanced medium weight palate with those same aromatics coming through on the palate. Smooth resolved tannins. This is the last of a dozen bought on release in the early 2000’s from an excellent vintage. This is living proof of how good Margaret River Cabernet is for top quality Cab. 2 hours later that beautiful perfumed nose never quits. I wish I had a few more bottles left. I do have a magnum of 1996 which needs to be drunk. 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. — 4 months ago

@Tom Casagrande It certainly was Tom. I have had some excellent Moss Wood Cabernets over many years of collecting back to the 1980’s and this was up there with the best of them.

Pale yellow in colour. Aromatics of Smoky Citrus rind. The medium bodied palate shows ripe grapefruit with citric acid toning down at 10 years of age. This is one of the best Chardonnays in Margaret River - up there with Leeuwin Estate Art Series without the latter wine’s ripe pear and white peach. This is a brilliant Chardonnay by any measure. @Doug Powers Yes it is a producer that has had many successes. The first vines In Margaret River planted in the 1960’s?by Dr Tom Cullity; a highly skilled long serving winemaker in Virginia Willcock and the vast financial resources of the owners, the wealthy Holmes-a-Court family.
