Wow. Seriously brilliant wine from Manfred Krankle. I can’t say that I’ve ever had a pure graciano before - comes across to me as a hypothetical cross between a grenache and a high-end merlot (like a Petrus-level merlot). Opened up yesterday but it was very closed, so we put a cork in it and kept it in the fridge for 24 hours. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Absolutely amazing nose of violets, crushed blackberries, candied blueberries, and hints of a chocolate ganache. Palate is pure SQN, with that elegant intensity that characterizes everything that comes out of Manfred’s winery. Lingering, perfectly balanced finish that goes on for well over a minute. Awesome. — 22 days ago
Loving this from the terrific 2012 vintage. Evolved nicely in the glass after the decant too. Edges were still present on open. Needed some rounding...

Really strawberry. Not the big fleshy strawberries from the supermarket, but the little wild ones. A bit of sour cherry. Very good, but ultimately too one-note to be great — a day ago
Still has tannins. Almost no bouquet. Went very well with barbecue meats. — 6 hours ago
A gift from Mike Therien, this is AWESOME. Classic older cab aromatics of dried currants, leather, and dried blackberries, the palate is beautifully balanced, great flavors, and a beautiful finish. Would be hard-pressed to find a better 25-year-old wine from Napa. Fantastic...thank you, Mike! — 10 days ago
Our last bottle 😢. First had this at the winery in 2013, and slowly drank through our supply since then. It has held up really well and drinks well right now. Deep garnet color, showing some bricking at the edges. I get baking spices in there nose. Moderate tannins, good acid. Plum and berries in the mouth. Paired great with grilled lamb. — 3 days ago
Bright and crisp with long finish. Paired well with fish tacos — 8 days ago
