Clos Ste. Hune Alsace Riesling 2015

As a proud scot who is also very proud of his german citizenship I almost always prefer german riesling but this was amazing! Insane depth of flavour with lemon and petrol...so impressive and lived up to its reputation. Went well with scallops 😋 — 10 days ago

Alsace rides the fence of German & New World Rieslings.

Good with my spicy Asian Lettuce Wraps.

Brand (Turckheim) Grand Cru Riesling 2005

Thought we had the last bottle a year ago but realized we had one more. Really very nice - a sort of time capsule wine, taking you back nearly two decades with the depth of amber color and honeyed flavor. So well balanced, with the secondary round fruit giving way to nice acids (more than I recall on the bottle a year ago). Fun one for sure. — 2 months ago

Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre Alsace Gewürztraminer 2013

Chilled and opened about an hour before dinner and allowed to gently come to temp. Served alongside charcoal grilled Thai sausage, sticky rice, coconut Thai curry, herb salad, shallot, lime, garlic, chiles. Straw color, off-dry and a perfect pairing with the first course. Lychee, honey, white flowers and great acid. This is the kind of synergy you dream for in a wine pairing. Drink now but I expect this will drink well for a long time. Quite possibly the best experience I’ve ever had with Gewurztraminer. — 2 months ago

Alsace Gewürztraminer 2019

Classic for this producer. Dry 14.5%. Oily and viscous. Good acidity. Touch bitter, apricot, hint roses. Just for asian food - really. So fruity the perception is - it is sweet. — 2 months ago
