Decanted for 8+ hours, tried at 4 different times. Tasted like church wine on first pop which had me afraid, but a slightly less divine intervention would ensue. Absolutely mouth filling, slightly port wine, I’m in the minority these days that loves a high alcohol wine but this checked a lot of boxes. Strawberry compote and bacon with a heavy mouthfeel. Can’t afford these often but once in a while on Christmas is a nice treat. Probably could hold for 10-15-20 years. — 10 days ago
Lime, grapefruit, lemon zest. Good acidic SB. — a month ago
Earthy, blue fruit, smoked pork, olive brine, more alcohol on the nose than I recall, nice cigar smoke, dark ruby almost purple yet bright still, terroir driven with a sense of place. I feel like royalty with every sip. — a month ago
I don’t normally review wines twice unless I’m tracking age development or comparing vintages…review is what I said in January…Very easy drinking but apparently not memorable. — 11 days ago

Jocholla
Fireside wine with some steaks and family in the mountains. Little sweet but definitely a crowd pleaser and I was happy with the price. Love Charles Smith vino. — 6 days ago
