Light brassy-gold color. It’s 70% Sauvignon but the nose shows a bit more Semillon character. Sweet lanolin, waxy notes, yellow orchard fruit. The palate shows the Sauvignon, however, with an initial whack of gooseberry and clay-like minerality. A bitter note closes it. Acids are lowish and the alcohol peeks through (hello 2018!). Pretty good but not my favorite Graves style.
UPDATE: Night 2, it’s more integrated and balanced, with more presence in the mid- and latter-palate. Upping from 8.8 to 9.0. — 4 months ago

Lovely, easygoing red. Middle of the road, could pair well with just about anything. Will be looking for in the future. Served with pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts. — 7 days ago
