Very dark garnet with a strong nose of black plum, earth & some oak. In the mouth very smooth, medium + body, a bit chalky with light tannins and mild acidity. — 2 months ago
Very nice with pork marsala ($32) — a month ago
A solid, large-framed Zin. Dark, brambly blackberries, together with the telltale sign that they wanted a ripe style: a note of maple syrup. Some crushed sandstony gravel. Full-flavored, ripe dark fruit coats the palate, but it’s fortunately dry (no residual sugar like a lot of Zins these days). Acids on the low side. Tannins soft. At it peak. — 4 months ago
One of my favorite wineries when I lived on the Central Coast. Purple red, moderate pigment extraction, excellent clarity for a red. Black olive and raspberry aromas, blackberry and olive flavors with a hint of eucalyptus. Nice undercurrent of lightly chewy tannins. Balanced and tasty “old school” Zin. Boysenberry flavor notes emerge after 45 minutes, tannins remain inoffensive but not fully resolved - polymerized or oxidized. Would this wine improve with decanting? 24 hours later, mouthfeel is rounded, black plum flavors have pushed to the forefront. Decant 3-6 hours and see for yourself. Nice Zin, great value! — a month ago

Thick blue fruits nicely framed by a little oak, seems cool climate, nice balance, long, lingering finish, should easily improve for 5-10 years!! — 9 days ago
