Good balance of savory and fruity… right down the middle. — 4 months ago
Rating refers to the last glass, which was the best. Our foul… upon opening it was almost a little thin and flat. But as we swirled it got better and better until there was quickly none left. Last glass had bramble, earth, caramel. Nice 1998! — 4 months ago
Imagine a great Cote Rotie, Cornas, and a Cal Syrah step into a bar. The atmosphere is all French but the ‘Mercian makes it interesting and overblown with too much density. It was spectacular, but if it were a bit more reserved, and didn’t stain my Riedel, it would have been on another level. — 3 months ago
Really? Wow. At 26 years old, not only hanging in there… but highly enjoyable. The mustiness had to blow off for a while, and then it hit its stride. Some toasty fruit remains in front of a long finish. cheers to ending 2023. …. Still going. Finish still going…. Going… — 4 months ago
Second day; Deep purple silk! Less than an acre… less than 200 cases. Lucky me wine! — 3 months ago
Nice, light, fruity. Just what I was looking for in a Beaujolais with better than typical depth. Good QPR. — 4 months ago
Slightly hot yet hint of vegetal. under ripe? Other than that, long dark berry finish. Second night was more in balance and picked up some char and chocolate. — 4 months ago
Another lost soul in the cellar. Exceeded expectations. fruit was gone, but drinkable… not dry, flat, or astringent. — 4 months ago

I love properly aged Ridge. At 12 years old this shows no bricking but hints at maturity with a slightly carmelized sweetness. 2012 was a cool year and this bottle is more elegant than some other Paganis. 👍👍 — 2 months ago
