Donatella Cinelli Colombini

Progetto Prime Donne Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2012

Bloody good, classically built Brunello. Ready to roll with a short decant. Shout out to #bouludmontreal for doing all they can to survive the 🧟‍♂️ apocalypse! Amazing next-level takeout. — 7 days ago

Produttori del Barbaresco

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2016

Clear Ruby. Dusty, licorice, ripe sweet red cherry, lipstick nose. A classically structured blast of red fruit acid and tannic grip. So much electric fruit that this a pleasure to drink right now. Though I think this will hit prime in 15 years. 9.4+ now. Will only get better. — 7 days ago

Dunn Vineyards

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

1.5 hour decant(surprisingly just a little cloudy sediment). A prodigious medium dark garnet color with little signs of aging. On the nose: funky stewed meats, blackberry, smoke, plum, minty pepper, creme de cassis. Taste: KABOOM! Rich, silky, full body wine with blackberry, earth, cedar, wet gravel, menthol and a cassis pencil lead long finish with some ashy tannins. In its prime drinking window and this 13.8% alc wine should rock another 10 years. Cheers! — 15 days ago

Château L'Arrosée

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

Still quite youthful color and nice, fresh fruit, albeit with a green note (asparagus?) that ever so slightly detracts, but nicely balanced, soft tannins, expecting it to go well with the prime rib I just pulled off the grill!! — 4 days ago
