Excellent. Bold fruit and high acidity and solid tannins = Well balanced. Has herbal and leathery layers to it. 13.5% al. For $25, a good value. Buy again. — a year ago
Venetian Merlot with fresh crush and partially dried grapes. Aged in barriques.. Plum, cinnamon and pepper on the nose. Tight on opening. After about an hour very earthy old world style on the palate - slightly dense. Dark fruit, prune, cinnamon, leather, damp soil. Oak is prominent and finish was long and refreshing. Not a casual dinner wine - probably best with a hearty stew or fatty roast. — 2 years ago
