Sugarille Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
It shouldn’t surprise that the house making among the most age-worthy Italian wines is making Brunello not to touch for 15+ years. Secondary aromatics with rose and red flowers, cinnamon? Burgundian layers on a light and compelling frame with a core of sour cherry and strawberry. Perfectly integrated, lonnnnng as day. Yum.

Jun 9th, 2017Very nice. Definitely ready, but not at all over the hill. Bit of raisiny funk that blew off. Definitely serve after a good decant on the cooler side as otherwise the alcohol pokes out a bit. Very nice fruit, still present but well integrated tannins. Long finish with good acid.
