Nice starter wine for my birthday dinner/evening. Just a classic BdM all around. At first that funk that blew off after about an hour. Then earth, dark berry, leather. This righteous wine was a perfect complement to my wife’s bolognese and my Filetto Al Gorgonzola that was cooked to perfection at our fav little Italian spot, La Rustica. Lisini delivers yet again. — 7 days ago
A brilliant example that’s soaring right now.
Nose presents maraschino cherries. On the palate, the oak is regal and subtle. Deftly balanced with powdery tannins and bright acidity. All the components are integrated. Pure fruit with uncommon sweetness finish what is a polished example. Thank you, Mo for opening this gem. — 9 days ago
Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
Gorgeous nose! Wow. Candied cranberry sauce. Perfect on the palate with cedar, and a beet juice finish. Killer bottle from @Mike R ...think this won nose of the night for me, Mike! — 9 days ago
The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. The estate covers an area of 190 hectares, 54 which are vineyards, 4 are olive groves, 87 which are wooded and 45 are to be planted with new vines. Vivid deep Ruby with a berry fruit bouquet and hints of smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry & strawberry flavors, with leather, cacao and tar notes. Softening nicely, has lively acidity and approachable tannins, lingering ending with tobacco oak finish. Tasting Sample. — 15 days ago
