We had the 2010 Vintage on 6/24-25/23. An excellent Brunello. Medium bodied, well balanced; long finish tannins all smoothed out. Raspberry, leather, tobacco and spice.

The 2010 vintage was well balanced with a nice light sour cherry aroma. The wine has soft tannin structure with touch of minerals. It was a perfect match with our NY steak.

Versatile wine. Had with latter parts of the tasting menu consisting of lobster, top of ribeye and lamb. Paired nicely with chocolate dessert.

2010 is a great year for Brunello and, while I would not normally commit infanticide, I could not resist ordering a bottle of the Poggio when I saw it on the list. I was not disappointed. Surprisingly accessible, it had great balance and structure. Made me happy that I ordered a case that will rest for several years in the cellar.
