Just yowza. What a nose. Nearly a religious experience. Just gorgeous and intense cherry fruit. Perfectly ripe. So round and precise. Layered and nuanced. Amazingly complimentary minerality. Floral. So so high toned and bright. Some dark cherries after air. Palate is so so juicy and elegant and yes this is still accessible 9 months later. Maybe a bit more closed but nothing inaccessible like his other 18 red 1er Crus. So sappy. So sweetly fruited and amazingly pure and precise. No hard edges at all. Not even a bit. So so well made. Insane inner mouth aromas and decadent sweet fruit. Amazing concentration. Amazing clarity. So so pure. Tiny berry fruit intensity. As this airs the nose just gets dizzying. Impossible complexity. Balance is exquisite and the tannins are just perfect. So ripe and sweet. Stunning. — 21 days ago
Put away Christmas decorations since 11a...so not fun. Thinking about some good Champagne helps one get through it.
So, it’s Pizza My Heart pizza and Pierre. I’ll take it.
Previous notes will stick. Tonight though, expressing excellent mousse, nougat, white spices & lively acidity.
This will remain in my rotation at $39.99 a bottle. Very good and over-delivers that price point by a lot. It is more reductive than oxidative and fits right into my wheelhouse limit on oxidative characteristics.
Hope everyone is having a great start to 2021! Cheers! 🍾🥂

From Southeast slightly sloping vineyards with low yields. Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cranberry and cherry with herb notes. Full ripe tannins, medium finish, balanced acidity, good structure, ending with earthy character. Drink now, at its peak!! — 12 days ago
— 18 days ago
Loire power couple Catherine and Pierre Breton have cab franc all dressed up. 2014 Les Perrieres is their prize - pretty now, will be beautiful in time.
Elegant and deep - traditional the way cab franc contributes to Bordeaux blends.
Old cedar and pencil shavings. Fresh raspberries and stewed plums and black cherries.
Concentrated perfectly - salty solution with a little grip. Plenty of time to mellow out. — 9 days ago

Nose has italian bread, green apple slice, under-ripe lime wedge and cold ginger root.
Palate has lime slice, grapefruit zest with a lightly sweet limestone note on the finish; Great acidity.
This just came home with many more of the same; I'm excited for warmer weather as I think this will be a truly crush-able BdB on hot summer days!
