Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim

The nose is still tight with red fruits and light oak notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing black currants, black cherries, light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, earth, herbs and black pepper.

Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced, with an Italian feel. Complex and entertaining.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with a big piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 19 months in (65% new) French Oak barrels.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Drinking really nice right now. Dark fruit with a brightness to it. The baby fat is gone and its maturity is starting to show. It rides the line between modern and old school Napa effortlessly. — 2 months ago

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Hall, Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

This Mount Veeder Cabernet delivers impressive consistency, with ripe plum and blackberry flavors that open the wine and carry seamlessly through the mid-palate. The concentration and depth are excellent—a direct result of the small grapes produced in Mount Veeder’s challenging terrain.

What stands out is the wine’s wide structure balanced by soft, approachable tannins. It’s substantial without being heavy, offering both immediate pleasure and the framework to age gracefully.

Definitely a special occasion recommend!

Anthem Cellars

Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

The wine is in beautiful condition at 10 years - still bright deep Ruby with explosive blackberry, black cherry, violet, cedar, clove and vanilla. It’s beginning to show tertiary notes of forest floor, tobacco leaf, and cigar box. It still has several years of life ahead but is captivating now. Long finish with plush ripe tannins. — 2 months ago

Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2023

Ruby red, very good clarity. Strawberry aroma, strawberry and raspberry flavors, light skin astringency and a bit of seed bitterness on finish. Slightly tart. After 30 minutes, the lactic character comes out in the finish. — 4 months ago

Wowww. Just opening the bottle and pouring it into a glass, the aroma filled the air. So potent, so fresh. And then just the first sip not only confirmed that it added mineral earth, vibrant notes of red fruit — red berries that reminded me of my youth eating them straight from the bush back at our farm. Lingering, sooting finish. Just amazing.

Mount Veeder Syrah 2008

Intense red fruited aromas and flavors, a little less tannic and structured than the 2007, but this shows bracing acidity at the present time, long, lingering finish, which the incredible acid backbone lifts and lengthens, another wine to ideally drink from 25-30 years after the vintage! — 8 months ago
