Wow I would never have guessed this to be 10 years old. Has a LONG life ahead. Bright (think younger Syrah) with a long finish.

Vibrant and delicious. Tasting young. Poster child for no new oak on Syrah

Stunning. Like a baby, at least 10 years left in this wine. Beautiful deep dark meaty fruits yet full of life and lift. Steve and Carole are masters of Syrah.

Nothing especially complex here but gluttony is always welcome at my table.

Nine years old and hardly showing it. Such dense, pure, balanced, dark fruits, slight white pepper, hitting all the right notes. A weightier Syrah but beautiful. Aging like a champ.

2005 vintage. Still very tightly wound and lithe, and strangely in the red spectrum for its fruit quality. Red currant, pomegranate, graphite, dark cocoa powder, iron, plum skin, tree bark, over-steeped black tea, walnut skin, tarragon, anise, sage. Has been decanting for 2.5 hours and hasn't changed much in that time.

Terrific wine. Black pepper, smoked meat, dark cherry and high acid. Tannins are softening but grip you at the end.

Nice, nice stuff. Beautiful deep color. Black and blue fruits. Fat and earthy with a nice dose of menthol. Round tannins with a strong, lengthy finish. Everything balanced. Harmonious. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.
