Rich, lush, thick, creamy; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, baked black plum, dark chocolate, vanilla, sweet spice, salted caramel, anise licorice, violets, dry florals, grainy dark volcanic minerals, black coffee, black tea, acidity is excellent as is the structure, balance, length and rich long finish.

Jan 14th, 2017Honestly I was expecting more from this wine. Super dry with a lot of structure from nose to long finish. Could use a little more fruit. This wine was very tight upon opening and needs at least a 2 hour decant to open up.

Nov 9th, 2022Revisit this in 15 years. Great now, but needs resolution of the tannins. Big fruit. Lovely floral notes.

Jun 28th, 2018Mmmmm!! Liked the blue fruit & spice in this, round and bold and more tannic than Lokoya's other 2013s but still not overly so.

Sep 12th, 2017Tied for wine of the trip. A monster now but this is going to be insane with time. Classic Veeder mountain fruit lots of black and blue fruits. Built for the long haul.
