dark ruby violet; a bit closed, blackberry, black cherry, graphite, menthol, sage; black and blue fruits, gravelly minerality; full bodied, very fresh acidity, suave tannins, 13.75% ABV; needs more time in the cellar but great potential here; $120

Seems to get better each time we drink it.

Disappointing. Not even close to being worth the price tag. Flat and uninspiring. Some red fruit, but largely tasted like a $30 cab. No issues with the bottle I could make out, cork was fine. Have another one … hoping this was just a strange ‘1-off’ miss

Again, last night patio gathering and no notes 😞. From memory I recall commenting about the nose having a certain sweetness that I could not place. This was a beautiful wine. Definitely one that could age for a long time. Perfectly balanced. Bold and elegant.

A bit young for cab. We had the 1/2 bottle with mash potatoes, broccoli and dry aged rib eye. Wine is not as highly rated as critics' view in my view.

Cedar, subdued fruit, tobacco - stronger tannins but good overall balance.
