Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Deep ruby/purple in color, the aromas jump out of the glass on this wine. Blackberries, vanilla, pencil lead, and a hint of black pepper, but mostly blackberries with oak. Full-bodied this wine is bringing it. Amazing balance with fruit pumping across the long finish. Tannins are there but not overbearing. This is a very big, bold wine. So good, this wine could age for at least another 5 years, but it is super enjoyable now. — 25 days ago

Love the style- focuses on the varietal vs. making a “Cab lovers …” Black cherries and plumbs. Smooth earth. — 2 months ago

Deep Ruby with rich aromas of dark ripe fruit and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum with soft sweet vanilla spice, cacao and cedar. Fine tannins, long finish ending with balanced mineral wrapped in cacao, tobacco and oak. A solid Merlot. — a month ago

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

A pretty good find at the grocery store while on vaca. Very ripe fruit-plum, blackberry, black cherry. Quite oaky as well. Solid backbone though. Tannins still pronounced but still strong enough to balance the fruit. Drink now. Enjoyable. — 2 months ago

My new Favorite white, just love mountain fruit! Named for mountain range dividing Napa & Sonoma, old stone winery dug into side of dormant volcano crater in 1889, remained in production ever since. Pale lemon with aromas of Tropical and stone fruit with complex spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and citrus with light oak and nutty tones, fresh and vibrant, well integrated. Long finish ending with fruit and flinty mineral characteristics. Long aging potential. Nice! — 2 months ago

Nuts, the 2019 is not available out here. Just 2020 and possibly 2018. Have you tried those?

John, yes I have had several bottles of the ‘18 (actually bought a case) have none left but the ‘18 should be great with a bit of age on it. Wish I had one left.
