Great nose. Smooth throughout — 8 days ago
Sour cherry, sassafras, earth, orange rind, forest floor and great acid. Very nice. — a month ago
This bottle had been opened the night before. The 2021 pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe black and red fruits: mixed brambles, purple flowers, olives, black pepper, stony earth and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acidity. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and peppery. True to the vintage, this is a cooler expression of Chave’s Saint Joseph and I really dig it. Drink now through 2041. — 4 days ago

Concentrated fruit, soft, and a bit of spice -
Some of the best value CdR out there, sourcing fruit from around Southern Rhône!! Jean Louis Chave expertise at an entry-level price.
This was a young wine but 2022 was a good year: Extreme drought vintage resulted in lower yields and concentrated, freshly acidic wines. — a month ago

The 2023 kept its beauty over 3 days . Each day showing fuller riper fruit while maintaining a tart and taut edge. Pineapple. Orchard fruits, citrus. Impressive. — 9 days ago
