Great bottle of wine. Subtle and very easy to drink. — 2 days ago
A beautiful wine. Subtle baking spice, with beautiful dark berry notes. Oak and vanilla trails. Nothing over the top, great balance throughout. Little on the pricey side- but I think it’s worth the money. — 25 days ago
Red Cherry, raspberry, tobacco and dried herbs. Just a touch of graphite. Rich and silky tannins and a long finish. A bit young, but showing excellent promise. Love this producer! — 10 days ago
Slate and nectarine on the nose. Lemon and lime upfront followed quickly by that mineral type note. Mid palate has a nice candied ginger impression. Finishes long with a grapefruit oil note, drying on the tongue. — 13 days ago
We have waited to find more of this beauty from Arnot-Roberts after our first bottle in Spring. Finally arrived, settled and tasting brilliantly.
The nose reveals more Burgundian than CA qualities. It’s softer and rounded. Sweet & sour lemons, lime not quite candy, green & golden apple, grapefruit with sugar, overripe pineapple, stone fruits, slight burnt caramel, creme brûlée, toffee, honey notes, waxiness, vanillin, mixed greens, slight fresh herbal presence, saline, delicate volcanic minerals, gentle woodiness, limestone with fruit blossoms, yellow lilies, jasmine and spring flowers.
The body is full, round and ruby lush. It a gentle and beautiful glide over the palate. It a nice cross of round burgundy and CA ripeness without the CA more rigid toughness. Sweet & sour lemons, lime candy, green & golden apple, grapefruit with sugar, overripe pineapple, just the right amount of cream & butter, stone fruits, salted caramel, creme brûlée, toffee, honey notes, butterscotch, waxiness, vanillin, slivered almonds, mixed greens, slight fresh herbal presence, saline, delicate volcanic minerals, powdery chalkiness, gentle woodiness, limestone with fruit blossoms, yellow lilies, jasmine and spring flowers. The round acidity is magnificent. The long, round, understated richness, perfect balance is delicious and persists nicely.

And another wine from Monterey. It’s near to perfection. A rich nose brings notes of blackberry, red currant and vanilla. So does the palate. It’s smooth and doesn’t need any spices, any citrus notes to be balanced. Smooth long finish is a reward itself. — 13 days ago
It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a tasty one from Knights Valley, California.
Deep purple in color (very dark) with a short purple rim.
On the nose blueberries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, light wood, earth, barnyard, light vegetables and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, blueberries, oak, light vanilla, spices, alcohol, peppercorn and dark coffee.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County. Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.
This Single Vineyard is not fully balanced yet, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. I let it open for 3 hours, and it feels like it needs more time. Mid palate is still very tangy. Will be better in a few years.
Good by itself or with food. Tangy and spicy. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in New French oak barrels for 22 months.
14.9% alcohol by volume.

Korte Ranch located north of St. Helens along Napa River, having gnarly head trained vines, at least 70-years old, thriving there, and was a bonded winery before prohibition. Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and complex spice adding a bit of floral notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with layers of spices, cinnamon and vanilla with slight citrus tone. Fine structured tannins, long finish on this full-bodied wine ending with fruit, oak and spice character. Should develop nicely over next 5+ years. Outstanding! Tasting Sample! — 6 days ago
Pale gold color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with a bit of citrus and sweet floral, aged 75% French oak & 25% stainless, no malolactic fermentation. On the palate melon, pineapple, apricot and some honeysuckle with hints of lemon zest and biscuit notes, delicate, complex and well balanced. Long finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and nutty toasty character. Will age well. Outstanding! — 17 days ago
