First pass at the ‘22 reveals a dark, brooding wine that is plummy, musty and dark with mild tannins and acidity and some earthy minerality. It leans dense over structured but drinks very well for a young PS. — 2 months ago
The ‘22 Hayne drinks beautifully right out of the gate and seems to have the pie dial to evolve for years to come. It’s super bright, with crisp acidity and a bushel of red berry flavor, rounded and dimensioned by anise, kirsch and a stony base. Loaded with flavor and character. — 2 months ago
Sharp raspberry and earthy nose. Brisk and bright acidity belying its youth. Fruit is currently tertiary — wonderful cherry syrup at the finish with air that I hope emerges over time. — 17 days ago
Like the old joke about a hockey game breaking out at a fight, I went for the Pinot Noir and came out with a Chardonnay. This young Sigrid is clear and light with lemon pith, pear, slate, a touch of salinity and virtually no oak. Cool climate minimalism with room to develop depth over time. — a month ago
This cuvée of the best of Bedrock’s best Zinfandel lots offers a big nose of blackberry and underbrush, followed with tart dark berries, graphite, mild acidity and classic Zin spice. Out of the gate it’s a bit edgy but with time in the glass shifts to an incredibly smooth, slightly oaked wine with many classic cab attributes. Wonderful either way. — 2 months ago

Recently released, the ‘24 Kick Ranch Sauvignon Blanc offers floral, grapefruit, chalky minerality and even a surprising undertone of caramel in the back end. It’s very nuanced and balanced, and not at all overpowering in the traditional SB flavor profiles. Food friendly and delicious with room to mature. — a month ago
Built for the cellar, this young pinot has plenty of room to develop. It’s reserved in its youth, maybe dark and brooding like the stereotypical Pacific Northwest weather it grew up in. Air reveals dark berries, hints of evergreen and forest floor, crisp acidity and pliable tannins. Looking forward to revisiting in a few years. — a month ago
I’m late to writing this having worked my way through half a case since 2019, but the wine was outstanding throughout and still seemed to have a lot of life in Jan ‘26. Deep, dark, sweet fruit, edges may have rounded over time but maintains a gentle acidity and earthy finish. Raspberry, tart cherry, plummy finish, a depth that few other WH North Slopes have. Wish I had more. — 3 months ago

I’ve been tasting bottles of the 2013 since 2016 and they have consistently improved over those 10 years from ‘tight and flat’ to ‘layered, super smooth, loaded with dark fruits, graphite and a little pepper’ for the most recent bottle (3/26). This has emerged as one of the best Rodgers Creek’s I have in a collection spanning 13 vintages from 2006 on. — 12 days ago
