This is a massive wine. Dense, chewy and on the edge of over extracted but still has round inviting tannins and sweet mountain fruit that seduces. Decanted 4 hours but a prickly, spicy tightness still exists and keeps this from being upper echelon right now. I would most definitely hold 3-5 years minimum. I had an '01 last Summer that was singing. I'm pretty confident this will be a world beater with more maturity.

2nd place finisher but EVERYONE preferred the Aurajo significantly more.
Either way., they were awesome after a Magnum of Paul Bara special club select Rose. I missed taking a picture of that bottle but I'm sure you can all envision how perfect it was!!@David L

Just love these wines. Decanted for 6 hours. Gorgeous nose of red and blue fruit melange. Nice bit of spice and earth. The palate is has terrific presence. Everything in balance. Loved it.
