Nani and Poppi 2026 — 4 months ago
Rich and full bodied. I decanted it for 4 hours and it was a lot better than the last bottle. Amazing structure after 16 years. Would get more in the future. Nutty and spicy. — 6 months ago
Black cherry & blackberry with dark fruit, soft tannins and dark cherries in the palate. Paired well with a smoked cheese and spicy ham. — 8 months ago

An excellent example Cabernet from Rutherford. This is the 2021 vintage and it’s absolutely beautiful. — 3 months ago
Cherry. Earthy. Touch smokey. Touch bitter. Spice. Good but not a burgh like wine despite the low%. but a good effort. A little rough around the edges. — 8 months ago
Still in its prime. Amazing. — 9 months ago
Sweet-and-sour nose. Silky tenants that cook the tongue. Long delicious finish with only a hint of oak at the very end. I would buy again. — 15 days ago
Lovely aged wine. Drank in June 2026. Dark brick in colour. Lots of body still with strong acid and longish finish. Dark fruit nose and palate. Very lovely wine. Had with BBQ steak & fresh crab. — 2 months ago
Had zero expectations for this wine at a party featuring lost bottles from your cellar. It was like a raspberry preserve that you canned 10 years ago and still has the essence of that years growing season. An unexpected joy. — 4 months ago
2015 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Elegant with just the right mix of primary and secondary characteristics currently. Some earthy tones, some pretty tones. Picked up 3 cases for an affordable ($35 a btl) domestic Cab with a decade of age on it. 2013 effort (not reviewed) had a slightly, off-putting, prunish note on the finish that wouldn’t leave the party so passed on it and went with this instead. 3.11.26. — 5 months ago
The gentle nose shows bright citrus, yellow peach, dried pear, and hint of crush nuts. On the palate it’s concentrated yet vibrant, with round acidity, spice and orange blossom, balanced by lively mineral drive and a long, lingering finish that meshes power with poise.
It’s bold and expressive, with a dynamic tension and savoury complexity that feels both immediate and age-worthy. At this young age, I like it better than the Art Series. — 7 months ago
A perfect balance between oak and fruit (blackberry) from this Barossa Shiraz. Great winemaking from John Duval who has quite the CV. John was Chief Winemaker at Penfolds from 1986 until 2002 being only the 3rd custodian of Penfolds Grange after Max Schubert (creator of Grange) and Don Ditter. In 2020 this wine received Shiraz of the Year and 99 points from the James Halliday Wine Companion. The product of old vines in the Barossa. Luscious but in balance and overall - delicious. — 10 months ago
Lyle Fass

Founder Fass Selections
A profoundly backward Jessie James that took a strange, winding path over several days. Initially reduced and giving maybe 10%, with matchstick, damson, sour and mid-season cherry, mineral and very little aromatic expression. The palate was completely discombobulated at first, but the material was obvious: beautiful velvety tannins, tiny-berry fruit intensity, tremendous depth and an extraordinarily long, persistent finish. After about ninety minutes it briefly opened into something spectacular, with deep, voluminous perfume, sweet and sour cherries, mossy minerality and exotic spice, the nose easily operating at a 9.7 level. Then it closed again, the tannins took over and both nose and palate retreated. Two days later it is much more composed, silky and elegant, with pure red fruit, sour cherry and beautifully refined tannins. Very good, serious and clearly built to age, but not at the level of the great 2021 or 2022 Jessie James. — 6 days ago
