Domaine Laroche
Saint Martin Chablis Chardonnay
Lively pale yellow color. Expressive aromas of lemon curd, white flowers and chalky wet stones. The pallet features white peach, green apple, lemon and minerals. Wine has seen some oak, (which creates a somewhat creamy texture) which is a bit dominant. Texture is a touch flabby but the acidity is gripping. Nice long finish that has a touch of salinity, but there is some sharpness. Not the best Chablis I have ever had, but it is far from the worst. Better the second day. Tightened up a bit. Wife thought it was good, so that slightly improved the rating.

Feb 5th, 2022This is a less expensive ($22?) Chablis from Domaine Laroche. But to be honest, I enjoyed it almost as much as the more expensive ($42) Vielle Voye from Laroche. High acid, lemon and granny smith apple. Very crisp.

Jun 24th, 2021May be a little overpriced for every day. Or not! Lovely chablis and will pair with almost anything.

Apr 23rd, 2021Pale yellow, light bodied, food friendly with low (12.5%) alcohol. It paired perfectly with broiled salmon. Fresh apple, mild citrus and floral tastes.
