Nice red. Wonderful Italian red on a nor’easter weekend. Nose fruity. no tannins. Brings you right back to the tasting room. I wish I can say anything is bad with this but it’s really unbelievably.
Don’t remember price. Would highly recommend especially when stuck inside making dinner.

Medium ruby garnet , with medium thin garnet ruby rim. This is quite closed at first , needs some time in the glass . Quite somber and dark fruited , with anis , dry spice and porcini , black tea. Quite meaty and deep . On the palate this is more generous , with quite rich saline edged dark fruits , currants , black tea and porcini . Quite fresh acidity and quite noticeable grippy tannins . Long and really quite intense on the palate , spiced saline finish . Even though there are lots of tertiary notes, there is great freshness and grip on the palate , it’s long and saline. Certainly improved with time in the glass and overall this shows pretty well at the moment. From now and over the next 5-10 years . — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour alongside the 2005 vintage. The 2009 “Giulio Ferrari” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely notes of spiced apple, passion fruit, and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and fresher than the 2005 vintage. Drink now. — 9 months ago

Excellent selection. Light, delicate, very subtle fruit notes and taste. Earthy, leathery with red fruits.

Medium+ garnet, with a tinge of orange-brown color around the rim. Raspberry and cherry nose, along with that pencil shavings smell. Second hour of air, secondary scents unfolded with some mint, spices and lightly roasted coffee beans. Feels quite Burgundian. Silky tannins. Not much gripping. Mid weight on the palate. Lovely Barbaresco, a bit light in color but nice in taste.
Not too heavy but brings a nice flavor of full body.
Not so tart and harsh as the one 2 days agon from Verduno.
The owners of the Vineyard Ca del Baio are 3 sisters, one went to school with Alessandro from Casa Ressia.
Excellent price for this wine.
