Eagle Canyon

Screaming Eagle

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

6 bottles... Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Screaming Eagle soars out of the glass with vibrant notions of ripe blackberries, black cherries and fresh red and black currants plus wafts of licorice, candied violets, cedar chest and clove oil with a beguiling touch of sea spray. Medium-bodied with jaw-dropping elegance, the palate is finely textured and yet built like a brick house with a super taut backbone and exquisitely knit acidity. The intense black and red fruit flavors are accented by layers of mineral and floral notions, finishing with incredible length and depth. Undeniably stunning. — 2 days ago

I'm giving these a good +10 years to try. Do you usually get a 6 btl allocation?....I got a 6 btl allocation for 2018 instead of my usual 3...think production is jumping up big time.

Reserve Ballard Canyon Syrah 2015

Great central coast Syrah from Michael Larner in Ballard Canyon. This area is overlooked snd should not be. This is a delicious, rich snd nuanced Syrah that you will enjoy. Get it if you can — 9 days ago

Rural Wine Company

Eagle Peak Pinot Noir

Bought this at Costco, $27. The wines is a bargain, for its flavors, nose, and body are worth it. Agree with other reviews , tastes more like a $35 wine. I would fund myself another bottle or two. — 20 days ago

Stolpman Vineyards

Estate Grown Ballard Canyon Syrah 2017

Have had Stolman in restaurants before ( David Chang?) so went with this Northern Rhone style Syrah- me thinks the frigid temps outside despite heat lamps accented the fruit/Nerviness but nonetheless at least I enjoyed it. Think less gamey but some of that gorgeous high toned N Rhone fruit. Really delicious. Outside meal with family, in Chelsea NYC — 15 days ago
