Quinta da Leda Douro Red Blend 2009

Needed a wine tonight to stand up to the bold flavors of a spanish marinated chicken with gondolas & cauliflower rice. This wine worked showing its rich, balanced dark fruits with notes of earth, leather, spice & tobacco — 8 days ago

10 Years Old Tawny Porto Matured in Woods

Roasted almonds, butterscotch, vanilla, raisins, and hints of milk chocolate and smoke. Just as good as last time. One of my favorite tawnies. — 5 days ago

Vintage Port Blend 2017

Felt like a vampire pouring this dark purple port into the carafe. Similar color and viscosity to a pint of blood. Dark and dried fruit forward. Bold and semi-sweet with a nice finish. Too young but whatever. I enjoyed. — a day ago

Xisto Ilimitado Douro Branco 2017

Really delicious Portuguese red. Tannins increase on the second glass, good heavy body, not too much fruit so nice and savoury - really good. Esperao esque! — 14 days ago

Quinta do Crasto

Reserva Douro Red Blend 2016

Portuguese Duoro from +70 year old vines with a dark inky color; takes about an hour to open up with scents of vanilla, plum and black currant. On the pallet, the wine begins very austere and rustic, gradually evolves to progressive layers of dark fruit, vanilla, cocoa, leather and piercing acidity. This a full bodied, complex wine with firm tannins and a rigid structure, medium plus alcohol. Really enjoyed this wine and pair’s excellent with red pasta and dishes rich in animal fat; do give it time to open up though, it’ll pay-off for sure.

Papa Figos Douro Red Blend 2019

A little bit of tannin and ripe red fruit flavors. Plum and currant maybe. Medium plus body and not high alcohol makes it a nice drink. — 15 days ago
