Had this at a tasting and bought several bottles, aged well, just opened last one. Aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels (15% new). Ruby, brown edges, with aromas of red and black stewed fruits and complex spice. On the palate, flavors of layered fruit, ripe black cherry and raspberry with cedar, tobacco, herbs and nutty notes. Full soft tannins, balanced acidity, long ending with fruit and earthy character. Outstanding! Worth the wait! — 8 days ago

Pop and pour. On the counter unrefrigerated overnight. Notes from 24 hrs open. Leaning savory yesterday, but very savory today. On the nose: earthy bark, strawberry. On the palate: good acidity, lighter bodied, even for a burg, and earthy red fruit. Not amazingly complex, but food-friendly solid wine. — 25 days ago
