A stellar expression of chardonnay. The density, length, and energy reminded me of a great Chablis!
Lemons, sea spray, flint, hay, like having electricity running over your tongue. Such a deep minerality. Needs lots of air to flesh out some fruit richness. What a beautiful wine - if only it was easier to come by these days. — a day ago
This is the most popular U.S. Pinot Noir for family and guests. The Oregon Pinot's are far richer than neighboring California. Excellent with so many meals, and just for sipping during the evening. Try a little sweet, and sour, accompaniment to broaden your palate's experience. — 6 months ago
A very light easy wine. Refreshing and delicious! — 5 days ago
‘Las Alturas' Spanish for 'the heights', a fitting name, this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. 4th gen Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner from family with farming & winemaking roots in Napa since 1906. Met Joe on his recent trip to CT. Tried latest vintage! Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot I have come across). Nice berry and floral spice aromas. Rich cherry/plum flavors with oak, spice and vanilla. Lingering ending with sweet oak notes. Nice! A Fav! — 10 days ago
