It’s a real dandy for the price point! — 5 years ago
Rhône Valley Rose’ blend of Grenache (50%) and Syrah (50%). Light pink color. Abundant aromas of strawberry, raspberry and white flowers. More raspberry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of strawberry and watermelon. Well balanced and quite crisp. Just a bit of heft. Interesting bottle design. Appreciate you opening this one, Chris B! — 3 months ago
I didn’t have high expectations for this value #lodi #zinfandel. Blackberry jam aromas dominate. In the mouth there’s the expected rich briar fruit flood but it’s quickly followed by nice acid structure, dark chocolate and coffee notes mid-palate, faint warming spices and tongue-coating tannins on the long finish. It is unexpectedly quaffable and a dandy value at $11 from #wsjwineclub — 6 years ago
11/18 disgorgement, 2.5 g/L dosage. Pure, structured and not at all a rosé Champagne for the dandy set. Framboises, cranberries, wet stones. Elegant, silky mousse. — 6 years ago

Dandy sipper. The label says it’s 10 years old. I’d buy it again. A Total Wine selection. — 3 years ago
Happy Easter y’all!
I celebrated by opening this dandy Gevry! This bottle marks the most I have ever spent on a single bottle ($75).
With the social distancing set in place I (un)fortunately had to drink this one all on my own. I would have rather shared this with others who would also appreciate it…but here we are. I won’t complain about drinking good burgundy all by myself LOL

This wine was extremely funky at first with lots of earthy notes: wet leaves, dirt. The nose became fruitier as it opened up.
The palate was smooth with lovely tart cherries. It lingered on the palate for quite a while.
A nice wine to have on a quarantined holiday and Monty Python & the Holy Grail on tv! — 5 years ago

1999 vintage. Some frequent guests brought this in and were worried about it having held up. In my experience, this decidedly, old-school producer needs more time than the average bear to come around and show well. Nice fill and great cork. Decanted and tasted after 20 minutes. Throwing a bit of sludgy/powdery sed but very manageable. Slight amount of funk on the nose that blew off within minutes. Wine was a tad flat at the onset but gained strength in the decanter/glass with more oxygen. The fruit, thankyouforasking, was just dandy. Tannins, while still evident, were functioning more like an omniscient narrator. Ridiculous, deep, like just bottled color to this wine. So ridiculous, had to check several times with different lighting/backgrounds to make sure it wasn't my imagination. Beautiful, older premier cru red Burg experience. 9.14.25. — 25 days ago
