Grapes from small Paso Robles AVAs blocks, aged in 75% new oak for 18 mos. Dark Ruby, aromas of sweet ripe black fruits, smoky tobacco and pepper spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with herb, cacao, espresso and vanilla oak, after it opened up. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, vanilla and earthy herbs. Good now!

What a phenomenal wine. Great color, smooth, full body, tons of flavor. Our favorite wine and at a price point that is affordable for special occasions ($50). Edges out another in this vein, Caterwaul. Cheers

Nice tannins and some strong ruby fruit.
Not digging the super oak… sweetness… and strong clove / allspice direction. I’m sure others do, but not for me.
Wish I cellared this… maybe then…
