Château La Grange Clinet

Château Clinet

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Beautiful color of dark ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Elegant nose of blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper, eucalyptus, licorice, herbs and Mediterranean spices.

Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, light oak, spices, dark chocolates, light mint, coffee, peppercorn, licorice, herbs, light earth and black tea.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Merlot from the great 2016 vintage in Pomerol. Nicely balanced and fruit forward.

Still young and restrained, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but drinking so well already. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Rich and chewy. Complex, entertaining and good by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 16 months in (70% new) French Oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

2016 vintage. Jérémy Chasseuil is working miracles here. Needs a bit of air, but after half an hour in the decanter it really started to shine. Intense perfume of raspberries, blueberries, violets, rosemary and a hint of truffles lurking in the background. Concentrated, with layers of red and black fruit and subtle spices. Velvety tannins and hardly noticeable oak. Very long too. Still very much under the radar, a great chance to buy a high end Pomerol for less than a 100 euro. — 19 days ago

Grange South Australia Shiraz 1998

Wow. Just wow

It starts off kinda like a deep and dark Rhône wine with a sweetness and kirsch like flavor but then in the palate it just explodes about 4-5 second later and there is a whole different level of expression.

Wine was best at about 1.5-2 hour decant and actually better without food.

Mas Grange Blanche

La Font des Bessounes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2020

A beautiful red blend of various red grape varieties sourced and allowed in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape by theSouthern Rhone region of France, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The V. 2020 vintage is known for being wonderfully balanced, with a harmonious development of the grapes, and is considered a successful one for the region, producing wines with a good balance of fruit and freshness.

This Mas Grange Blanche, “La Font des Bessounes" is intensely aromatic, with notes of red and blue bramble fruits, black pepper, garrigue, mulling spices, licorice, biscuits, and tobacco.

On the palate id a Medium-to-full-bodied, with fresh acidity, and well-integrated alcohol with a minimum oak influence. Mouthfeel; well-structured, decent complexity, and gratifying potential to age as well. Cheers!
