Glorious bottle! Merry Christmas 🎄 13% Amazing — a month ago
For me, David Croix, without a doubt, crafts the most compelling wines from Beaune, and this 19’ Bressandes was certainly exemplary. I absolutely loved it. It wasn’t bombastic and I reckon could easily be overlooked in a blind, but it embodied everything I love about red Burgundy in its most classic form. Not indulgent, fresh, fine, and refreshingly pure, with not a trace of overripe sucrosity to distract from its understated beauty.
The nose unfurled with cool, fresh fruits - a lively mélange of black and red berries layered with subtle bunchy aromas. Delicate florals weave through, underscored by the quiet intrigue of black tea and the chalky minerality that only air revealed. On the palate, it was all substance without weight, medium-bodied yet vibrant, its energy carried by a bright acidity that invigorated the senses. Spices and dried herbs unfolded gently in the mid-palate, giving way to a finish of fine, resonant salinity. What a beaut! — 2 months ago
Bright beige gold. Slight haze after aeration (unfiltered?). Abundant nose of kumquat rind and balsa wood. Echoed on the medium full palate which adds form acidity, underripe quince, and a bit of white pepper. Lingering finish continues the palate. Excellent upper-end Bordeaux Blanc for any and all special dinners. Rich seafood dishes (scallops, trout almandine) are its friend. Drink now through 2027. — 19 days ago

Nice floral acidity. Very pleasant to drink right now — 11 days ago
Maybe the best Bordeaux I’ve had, limited experience with this region. Dark fruit, cedar, grippy, really evolved over an hour, last glass was singing. A decade old and long life ahead; I don’t think I’ve ever given these wines enough time. Need more of this in my life. — a month ago

This is simply delightful, bloody awesome actually.
Typical Napa-purity and dito density, yet laced with Bdx-like treble-notes of freshness, acidity and transparency.
Served it alongside maigret/parsnip/anise-jus, but liked it better before and after this fantastic dish.
Score might be on the conservative side… — a month ago
