Medium ruby in color; blackberries, cassis, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like black cherries, black currants, and wet gravel with a long finish. Needs to decant. It was much better after an hour in the decanter. Nellie said it was ok. I like it. — 10 days ago
Forgot to take detailed notes, but this was nice. Not really any carbonic / natural / “new agey”notes, just a solid classically made gamay. Definitely has some structure, opened 4 hours before serving which was good. Didn’t sing on any one dimension of fruit / earth / acid / length / texture but was nice overall. — 2 months ago
Really enjoyed it! Would easily serve as an adequate table wine or for cooking. A particularly good vintage this year. — 7 months ago

Hot summer day and a lot of work around the house - needed something refreshing. An unusual champagne that was part of a direct import in 2023. A good price at $87 and 2004 was not a bad year. Funky bottle, but aside from that, a down to earth vintage bottling that hits the spot and punches a decent QPR. Yeasty brioche, apple, and toasted almonds with a nice and not overpowering tartness. Not regretting buying (and drinking) this uncommon champagne. — 10 days ago
