Delightful fruited nose with full bright stone fruit. — 6 days ago
2013 vintage. 80 % Sangiovese, 5 % Cab Sauv and 5% Petit Verdot. 21 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux (20% new)
Aromas of bright cherry, violets, black tea and currants.
Great acidity with strawberry, tea, leather, plum, earthy and a bitter cherry finish. The fruit is 100 % estate grown.
We had grilled quail breast with mushroom risotto with this Chianti.

The 2017 Barbaresco is a terrific wine to drink now and over the next decade or so. Ample and creamy, the 2017 is so inviting. Sweet red cherry, crushed flowers, mint, cedar, rose petal and blood orange give the 2017 an exotic character that is so appealing. Another year or two in bottle will help the tannins soften. This is nicely done. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 12 hours ago
Give 2 hours a a decanter. Opens up nicely but ... Let sit in the cellar a few more years — 9 days ago
Short decant revealing silky tannins, ripe red cherry fruit, touches of cedar and orange peel. Finished with a touch of dryness. Versatile food pairing. — a day ago
When trebbiniano and Malvasia work together and get some age they are everything but a catholic mass wine. Wow! — 8 hours ago
Balanced fruit and medium body. Good acidity and great, long ending. It has amazing aromas that fade away quite fast. Do not decant and drink it relatively fast. — 14 days ago
