Siepi Castello di Fonterutoli Toscana Super Tuscan Blend

Medium bodied equal blend of Merlot and Sangiovese. Has a nice sense of place. Dark cherries, roses, tea, graphite and interesting sour spicy notes like sumac. A fair level of polish here that really makes it shine.

Served blind in a merlot focused tasting. You could sense the sangiovese here. Elegance and refinement alongside the edgier merlot. Would love to drink this in 10 years. Understandable why it is an Italian benchmark.
