The estate of Sette Ponti lies in the heart of the Chianti zone, 15 miles NW of the city of Arezzo past village of San Giustino Valdarno. A blend of 90% Sangiovese & 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques. Deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and blossom spice. On the palate blackberry and cherry flavors, earthy spice and grainy tannins. Good balance lingering finish ending with some oak, earthy and mineral tones. — 5 days ago
Very mature fruit. Prunes, black cherries some sweet notes and herbs. Delicious and still primary ! — 9 hours ago
On the lighter side of Super Tuscan, the blend of Sangiovese & Merlot meshing perfectly with the terrific Italian cuisine on a rainy AZ night at Constantino’s. The dry finish is heart warming this evening. Spin again in warm weather, this wine says Winter Is Coming. — 16 days ago

What a surprise! A must try, this 2015 vintage is exceeded my expectations. It brings everything I expect from Tuscany and more. Unfortunately I drank it to fast to experience all the changes to come. Thankfully I have more. — 9 days ago
Drank 11/30/19. Average pairing with Rigatoni bolognese.
An interesting blend of equal parts merlot, sangiovese, syrah, and petit verdot. Nose of red and black cherry, some tomato leaf, and sweet baking spices. Flavors of cherry liqueur, cranberry sauce, and a hint of earth. Finishes with red fruit and tar, with medium tannins and finish.
