Had one 2009, after 17 years. Still power, the blend is fantastic. — 2 months ago

Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Cabernet Franc (29%) and Merlot (13%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of red and black fruit, anise, purple flowers and leather. Flavors of black cherry/plum/berry fruit, black licorice, cocoa powder and sweet baking spices. Lovely mineral and minty tones on the long and lingering finish. Silky tannins and a velvety texture. Loaded with finesse and wonderful freshness. Enjoyed with Petey and Kase (Thanks Guys) on the beach in Cape May, NJ. — 7 days ago
Deep purple in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, light vanilla, licorice, chocolates, black pepper and herbs.
Full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and very fruity with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, cedar, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, herbs and licorice.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich, extracted and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, complex and engaging.
This 8 year old Cabernet is starting to drink at its peak now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Chewy, and a great sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in all new French oak barrels for 12 months.
14.9% alcohol by volume.

Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

fun bottle - will be great in 5 years. nice pre-ripe black currant on the finish — 4 months ago
Well structured Super Tuscan blend that incorporates only the following Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Petit Verdot (10%). Plush aromas of black/blue fruit, oaky spice, eucalyptus, violets and leather. Flavors of blackberries, cassis, tobacco, black licorice and dark chocolate. Mineral and garrigue notes on the long and lingering finish. Full bodied, powerful and dense. Well softened tannins with excellent balance, structure and complexity. Solid value for this quality. — a month ago
delicious: butterscotch - really sexy, orchard fruit juxtaposed w/salinity & minerals - full bodied, voluptuous, cellar temp was downright silky leading to long resonant finish. I've had this many times and they were always older & oxidized - would argue these are better younger — 9 days ago
Strong delicious pairing for spaghetti al pomodoro. Wonderful bottle — 4 days ago
Blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby red color, purple hues, with aromas of dark berry fruits, herbs an slight floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with licorice, tobacco, cedar and gentle floral spice. Long finish, great balance, fine chewy tannins that opened after decanting for 30 minutes, ending with fruit, cedar and earthy character. Nice, will age a bit. — a month ago

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Red and black fruits on the nose with tobacco, light wood, licorice, chocolates, black pepper, herbs and spices.
Full bodied and soft with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, sweet raspberries, coffee, sweet oak, chocolates, licorice, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, earth and mediterranean spices.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 4 year old Super Tuscan Merlot is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced and elegant. Complex and entertaining.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and balance itself out.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Wine Spectator 94 points.
I had the 2021 vintage a couple of years ago at the winery, and it was much better. The 2022 vintage was not as good as the 2021, so there's that.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
